What kind of curtains or drapes should I use for a wall full of windows?
Hang a valance across the top of all the windows. Hang drapery panels so there is no wall showing between the windows, take the panel from the window on the left and bring the panel from the window on right and tie the drapes together with a tie back, repeat between each window. Add shears for layering and privacy.
(or a roman shade across instead of valance and drapes or just the valance alone)
You can make your own valance, easy (no sewing) and inexpensive.
Buy a sheet(s) (4X8ft.) of styrofoam (available insulation dept. at any home improvement store) and cut each 12 – 18 inches (height) depending what size you want, then lay end to end until they are long enough to cover the top of the windows. Glue (elmers) a 4×8 inch piece of cardboard so it overlaps adjoining each section until you have one long piece.
Cut fabric 3-4 inches larger than styrofoam and lay on the floor, lay the same size batting on top, then the styrofoam. Wrap the fabric and batting to the back and pin.
Found these sites (I don’t see the need for adhesive) to give you an idea what I mean.

You can buy large bolts of fabric at fabric stores/walmart on clearance $1.00 or less a yard.
